A Georgia Barn Quilt Trail
The Early County portion of the Red Clay Trail was added in 2025 and is the fastest growing portion of the trail. The Early County Museum and the Blakely Early County Chamber of Commerce were instrumental in getting the Red Clay Trail expanded to Early County.

This Flower Basket Design was painted by Priscilla Perkins and can be seen at 177 Cedar Avenue in Blakely.

This double sided barn quilt was painted by Priscilla Perkins and hangs in the window of the Early County Museum. It can be seen at 226 North Main Street in Blakely.

This lovely Pinwheel Design was painted by Alida Ward in 2006 and can be seen at 908 SR-216, Arlington GA. The design for this quilt came from her grandmother Dixie Seals Lightsey from Clyattville Georgia. We believe this was one of the first barn quilts in Georgia.

This beautiful "Crossing Paths" design was painted by Kay Brooks Hatfield and can be seen at Burning Bush Ministries at 575 Retreat Road, Arlington GA.

This lovely loon pattern now lives at the Katrina Acton residence at 141 Westview Drive in Blakely.

This lovely Double Aster Pattern was painted by Sandra Langley and can be seen at 1073 New Hope Road in Blakely.

This Carolina Cardinal now resides at 124 Colonial Drive, Blakely GA
